wow, excuse me for being wrong about every thing, but I think 99.9% of the people get the idea when some one says "a bigger cam" ok, and, from what I have heard from people, including various honda websites, resetting the ecu after uprading to a mod is highly recommended.

As far as the VAFC goes, I never said using it with a stock ecu is going to give you power, using it with a turbo will ok.
I just feel you shouldnt give "advice" when you obviously dont know what you are talking about.

The V-AFC will net more power, even with a stock ECU. You just cant make adjustments at WOT since the ECU doesnt accept changes. Explain how a cam can be "bigger"? Just curious...

unbelivable
I know just enough to be talking, trust me, my advice hasn't caused any body's motor not to run. What did I say about the VAFC other then it would be the best bet to use it with a turbo or a cam? Also, what is all this talk about WOT, I never said any thing about it. How can a cam be bigger, well that usually means the lobes are bigger and will open the valves for a longer period/duration of time so more fuel and air can get in to the combustion chamber than say those of a stock cam, understand, this is all refering with the comparison of a stock cam-shaft. Alright, Im typing a bit too much here.
Now that I think we are clear, have a good night.

are we clear??

he said he was having power loss at WOT (that means wide open throttle) and you recommended the VAFC... that wont solve his problem since it cant tune the WOT setting, but you knew that... we can take this to PM if you'd like.

Ok, so there's nothing that can be done about WOT? I guess the 4-1 just shifted my powerband too far, making it outside of my "usable" rpm? I have heard that an adjustable cam gear can move my powerband, is this right? I am now assuming that any mods I do in the future (Intake Mani that I port matched this weekend) will benefit more from my header than the stock exhaust manifold. So I am not calling it a total waste of time, I just expected a little gain from one of the most popular bolt-ons on the planet.

come down there Polo you're getting ahead of your self here, I didn't suggest the V-AFC for WOT. After his first thread he wanted to know if he could get an aftermarket ECU just for the header and a catback so he could gain on top end or WOT. All I said was you usually don't get any thing that has to do with ECU just for a header and a cat back, those are very minor mods. NOW, here is where I suggested the V-AFC,
but when you're upgrading to a turbo or a bigger cam, then a VFAC would be the best bet.
Meaning for the mods he has done so far, the stock ECU is just fine. A good tool to get in the future would be V-AFC to tune for more fule with a turbo or aftermarket cam. Are we clear now between what I suggested and didn't?

Street Sniper, to what I have come to understand is that you installed a 4-1 header and a cat back, and you're car is slower at when you're at WOT accelerating am I right?

Yeah, it's faster at 3/4 throttle than WOT. I was postulating that the stock fuel map for WOT wasn't getting it done.
