it will be ridiuclously loud on that little 4-cylinder engine, i highly advise a nice big resonator and a quality muffler, and i imainge most people around herewould agree

lol, wrong direction man, 2.25" piping is about the biggest you'll wnat to go on an N/A Civic to keep some backpressure/velocity but still have good exhaust flow, along with the longest resonator you can fit (I've got a 22" Maganflow resonator on mine and i love it) and then a name brand muffler. GReddy and Apexi make nice mufflers, so does RSR. If you want a fairly stock look and a really subtle sound, look for a Netami twin loop muffler, they're awesome.

Or if you wanna skip all the trouble, just get a pre-made catback. Read the Exhaust FAQ up at the top of the Header, Intake, Exhasut topic for more info on that

yah from personal experience i can tell you it sounds annoyingly loud. when i bout my 00 si it had a straight pipe and it was loud as hell. when emissions time came around i had to put a cat on it and it sounds a lot deeper and stronger now. i don't advise straight piping it because its rediculous

you need at least SOME sort of muffler, even if it's just a glasspack, no muffler will be unbearable
