Dc sports header?
I have a 95 civic dx, d15b7 engine. i heard already bout the poor power from this engine, but i'd like to not take it too far if its not worth it. I have a AEM SRI intake already, im thinking bout going the header and catback route also. My stock header is baddddd looking anyways. honestly what can i expect from buying a new header, then later getting a catback on this car. I found the dc header for my car for like $300, which seems to be good i guess. Just what your opnions, before i invest big money into the car.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i/h/e is too expensive if you are trying to make it fast. It will make it a little more fun to drive and that is about it. 1.5's don't respond very well to i/h/e, the only real way to make it fast is to turbocharge it for about 2 grand.

I actually have the same car as you and did the AEM intake and Ractive exaust and what not. I was planning on getting a header and then decided to say screw the header and get a Vtec motor. I actually payed less for the motor than I would have paid for a header. If I was you I would get you a Vtec motor or do the Mini me swap and then start modding cause the d15b7 motors SUCK! (No offense) You can find Vtec heads or motors for fairly cheap and gain more power going that route than spending just as much money on a header and not getting near the power.

Thanks, alot guys that really helped me out. I am ready do get into modding and what not, but been hearing that engine sucked. Im going to do some thinking, might just hold off on it all with this car, wait to i get another with a better engine in it. Im not trying to make it to a race car, but just want a little more performance, for the time i have it.
