Default dnx muffler question

A friend of mine is setting me up with what claims to be a good deal, anyways he's gonna install a full catback exhaust on my civic with a DNX muffler for 449. CDN installed. I was just wondering if this is a decent deal and is DNX a reputable company. I don't want garbage on my car. If someone could give some input that would be great.

Thanks

I'm almost positive that dnx stands for dynomax. I went to there website and they have a sound clip of there muffler on an SI. Sounded awful in my opinion. Basically bees in a coffee can. I believe these are the same type you can buy from like pep boys/autozone here in the states. These mufflers are designed for cars with bigger engines, cause I was listening to sound clips of them on like camaros and stuff and sounded great. I say go on ebay or something and try and get yourself a quality muffler like apexi, greddy, and others like that. I dunno how loud you want it to be or not. Hope that answered your question.

Well, I want to get it done at my buddy's muffler shop.. mufflerman or something, anyways he said he could do a DNX muffler or a magnaflow. I've heard decent things with magnaflow so i might just do that.

Seems like he just wants to get it out of the shop. But if those are your 2 choices, magnaflow would be the one to go with.
