Anyone with the same model as me (1994 Civic DX Coupe) done these upgrades that have any suggestions, Ima lookign for a nice deep sound and good performance. I dont want anythign that sounds liek those cheap pep boys strap on exausts that sound like a go-ped.

Thanks for your help as Iam new to the civ community and I plan on being a member for awhile.

hmm i dont have the same car, but i have a civic ;PPP you should also search.. there are LOTS of topics about the bolt ons. 1 word of advice...good performance and i/h/e dont mix. they are ment 2 add air flow and supplement other add ons.

exhaust look into..greddy, apexi, hks, tanabe
header..megan, dc sports
intake..aem all the way.

turbo. lol. no im really serious..turbo is the best bang for your buck. but since your on a budget..get an exhaust(See above companies) an intake, and header. the sound will change lots(in a good way).

 

I got the same car, 94 dx. Yes, i get made fun of. 102 hp... i beat my friend in an eagle talon. ESi 140 hp. All i had was a short ram and a muffler. well.. and a short throw. Now i got a cold air... All ebay stuff. The muffler i got came from an Apexi N1 catback, it sounds good, but i think it would sound better if it came all the way from the cat. I would suggest Apexi for the exhaust part. But ive heard the greddy one too. and yes it sounds amazing. However, i think the sound of the Apexi idle is a little bit quieter. "Thats just me talking" Then ya cant go wrong with a DC header.

 

iv got a 1993 civic dx coupe.....im running a aem cold air intake and a dc sport muffler....sounds really really deep tone'd....i enjoy the sound and all my friends love the sound of it also.....and yes dc sport headers are the way to go....im buyuing mine in about 3 weeks or so.

 

i have the same car as yours. i have aem cai and a tsudo cat-back exhaust. sounds real nice. the exhaust is a tad loud but not all ricey. as for headers, hands down would be dc sports headers.
