ok so theres this catback exhaust i wanna buy and it says it fits both the 2001 lx and the dx models but im hesitant to buy it though, because ive heard that the the dx exhaust is and the lx exhaust is "wired" up to the car differently so i dont wannabuy it and not have it fit my lx idk maybe im wrong are the exhausts the same as far as how they sit underneath the car can anyone help me ??? some input would be greatly appreciated.

 

im pretty sure they are the same only the ex is different

 

yeah the DX and LX have the same enigne (d17a1) so it sould fit just fine. I know on the 6th gens the cat is up in the ehxuast manfiold and the EX's is after it, which can be a big difference in exhaust choice, but you should be fine with this one.

you can buy a regular catback exhaust and if you decied you can do the EX convertion with the header and catback(like i did on my 05 LX) or you can buy the LX header and a catback.....i know megan racing makes both for the LX and the EX

what kinda catbaack is it? DC or Magnaflow? i have an '04 lx sedan and my options were very limited, unless i went custom. i got the magnaflow catbackand i know it def fits the 01-05 civic lx & dx sedans. do you have a coupe or sedan?

 

ive got a 2001 lx coupe manual transmission
