ebay silencer

Default ebay silencer

are they any good do they actually work? and do i have to drill a hole in my exhaust to install it?

A link to what your talking about would be nice...but I would suggest just getting a nice muffler instead of spending money on something to merely bandaid the problem. I dont have any experience with something like what you describe...but I cant see it as being a good long term solution.

yes and yes. However, most silencers will give your car that good old "bumblebee in a can" sound. That, and you're pretty much SOL if your muffler outlet gets bent out of shape. Trust me, the muffler I have came with a silencer.

well i jsut bought an integra gsr. that has a tanabe super medalion exhaust. the car is on its way to my house. and i just don't want to get pulled over because it is a 100mm tip.

imo, silencers are a pain in the ***. mine got stuck in my muffler and I had to weld bars into it in the shapd of a t and beat it out with a hammer. It sounded annoying too. Quieter doesnt mean that it sounds better.

They are not worth it at all. I bought one and it didn't make much of a difference.

Just make sure you get the right diameter and that the holes where the bolt goes through lines up.
