If he's converting to an EX exhaust he needs the Header since the Dx and LX Cat is built into the header. You can't just get the catback and high flow cat and expect it to work you need the header also.

yea the cat is built into the header, if i didnt switch out the header i would be running 2 cats.

i only have 3 issues with converting to ex:

i wasnt planning on getting a header
i wasnt planning on spending that much
i just replaced my cat about a year ago

Buy a name brand used one. I picked up a DC Sport for 80 bucks canadian.
Make your money back by selling your OEM Parts. Also the test pipe is going to be 149.99 @ password jdm. No one said this hobby was cheap.

so the contact that i was trying to get the evo2 off of ebay says that they do not have any in stock and they would have to order directly from greddy, which basically equates to im out of luck, cuz greddy has discontinued it. the evo2 is the one that i really want, so either i keep searching (delaying) or i go with an alternative.

yea i know its definitely not cheap haha. what i meant to say was that i had previously inquired about the benefits of getting a new header and if it was really worth it for someone who really isnt going to be doing any racing. and i was told to skip it since the price to benefits ratio isnt too great for my situation. if someone else thinks otherwise, im open ears.

Craigslist, HCF's for sale section and I believe there's a marketplace section at Hondatech.com. You might have some luck there.

my gen must suck cuz it sure is kinda hard finding an exhaust that will fit without having to convert to ex. the evo2 was the only one without having to sub for quieter sound in the ws2 and sp2

i guess i should have bought a different gen haha!
