I got a 2000 DX and want to get header & exhaust. i know that the d16y7 header is s#!tty w/ the cat built into it, so i want to put a DC sports header made for an EX on there and put a high flow cat behind it. i've already surfed the net for this and i know i'll need to extend the O2 sensor wires, anything else i need to know about? fitment problems? what tools will i need or should i have a shop do it?

 

Everything should fit fine. Dont cut the o2 wires though. Splice them in.

 

If you dont want to cut wires you can buy some o2 extensions. I bought my o2 simulator from these guys but it seems they stopped making simulators but still have extensions.

i'm wanna get a AEM CAI, DC sports 4-2-1 1 piece header & Apexi N1 cat-back. how loud do you think that setup would be from 1-10, 10 being illegal.

yea, 5 or 6. I have the N1, and with a stage 2 cam the thing is bassy as hell

 

I got the N1 also and it ain't quiet by no means.
