Default Exhaust Help!!

hmmm no one posted back to his last time so here it is.... OK i went to the Muffler shop and the guy looked under my car at my exhaust and he said to just cut off the stock muffler add some pipe to make the muffler to the back and weld the muffler it cost $100....Also he said he could run 2.25 pipe straight back to the muffler from the cat with 4 hangers and would cost about $200... I want to know what exactly do i want to do i am supplying my own muffler but i dunno how the pricing is and what not.... Thanx

are you asking us to tell you what you should do - or what. ???
if the resonator is good, then just leave it on and get another estimate for replacing the muffler
All car work at repairs shops will be expensive. reading the post - it is 300 for you.
you're getting into welding - that is more expensive than non-welding.

from reading, i dont think you want to tackle it yourself (as far as replacing the muffler).
so, it is trying the band that was posted about, or taking it to a muffler shop.

Get a 2nd estimate is what i would do. well actually, i would try the band.
