exhaust help

Default exhaust help

just picked up an 99si...want to get an aftermarket header for it but dont want it to sound like crap with no aftermarket cat back installed...dont want to get pulled over with an aftermarket exhaust on the car...would it sound bad getting the stock muffler welded on an aftermarket cat back or something like that?

as long as you have a cat, they cant ticket you on how loud it is.

im pretty sure it has nothing to do about having a cat or not if it goes past your states db law its noise pollution and you will get a ticket trust me the pigs roll with decibel meters . if i was you id get a twin loop muffler and a resonater.

trading a set of rims for an dc header an more rims...dude is gonna install the header for me...shouldnt sound to bad should it...i have a whale dick on it which is loud...prolly wont here the exhaust to much...any one else have this set up?

didnt understand most of that but anyways, the header wont really make any sound difference.

is the whale dick louder than an intake pipe?

Yes.

To the OP, what kind of rims are being traded? And an upgraded header will not sound bad with an OEM exhaust. It'll probably make your motor sound better.

well i said dc header lol...but im trading fat fives for the header an a set crx si rims
