Default Exhaust Piping for EJ

All,
Appreciate if you can help me on the exhaust piping size for my D16Y7 Manual. I would like to know what is the optimum exhaust piping size for the system

1) Piping size for Straight flow Exhaust
2) Piping size for S Flow Exhaust

In future if I decided to upgrade the engine (Not in the plan at the moment) to B16A (EK4), what would be the best piping size?

3) Piping size for Straight flow Exhaust
4) Piping size for S Flow Exhaust

Thanks for all the input.

i suggest installing from a 2in to 2 1/4 max exhaust, any bigger than that will hurt your performance,

Well we need more info, is your engine stock? is it going to stay stock? how much of teh exhaust are you replacing?

Also what do you wnat? are you after low to mid power or my high end power?

Regardless. anywhere from 2-2.5" depending, again, on what this engine has done to it or is going to have done to it.

Thanks 94Civichatch.

Tiran, there is no modification done on to the engine and is just purely stock. Pls elaborate on how to achieve low-mid and mid-high end power?

an exhaust isnt going to really give you an performance if its the only mod. Your going to need a built b series motor, turbo, or super charger. In fact if you get a wider exhaust it will sometimes hurt your performance in some cases.

Guys,
I changed the piping to 2.25" mandrel bent piping and I love it. I do not feel any lost of power and good torque at high rpm. Anyway, the comment provided by you guys are great. Thanks for all the help and input. You guys are great!!!!
