exhaust question
hey...my muffler recently broke right before the res. and i was at work (delivery driver) so i had no choise but to keep goin well i hit a bump and it is now all crippled under my car... so i need a new cat back system...cops around here are VERY strict about noise so i need something VERY quiet but with a nice purr..and also has nice air flow can anyone help me out here. i drive a 93 honda civic CX

well if you want it almost as quiet as stock, you'll want a twin-loop muffler. Unfortunately, I don't think anybody makes a cat-back system with a tw muffler, so you'll have to have one custom-bent at a muffler shop. I could be wrong, though.
Edit: Oh, yeah... you have to remember that the exhaust tone also depends on how heavy you are on the throttle. If you're real heavy, it's going to be louder. If you're light on the throttle, it'll be quieter.
