Question exhaust questions

Well i have a couple of questions. I'm doing a dx to ex exhaust swap and i want to put a high flow cat inline. I've seen a couple of different types and was wondering what the difference was between a universal cat a a spun universal cat and is one any better then the other. And the other question is about pipe size. I'm considering installing a turbo next spring and i'm just wondering if 2.25 inch pipe will be enough if i do install a turbo or if i need bigger because i know with minor upgrades the largest recommended size is 2.25 inches. Thanks for your input in advance

Links to both products please.

If you are turbo'd, 2.25" probably will be restrictive. Don't worry though. I bet the turbo kit you buy will need fabrication for the down pip and exhaust. They can help you out with a pipe matching the size of the down pipe.

the 2 high flow cats that i was looking at are both magnaflow and can be viewed in there cat section under the 49 state and canada legal cats. they have a bunch of different choices for each type. some are ceremic some metallic and a heavy metal one.

Here is the link to them- MagnaFlow Catalytic Converters - 49-STATE & CANADA Catalytic Converters For Trucks, Suv's, American Muscle, Diesel, & Sport Compact Vehicles

I found a third cat on magnaflow that i think will work. The part number for it is 53035

I don't see why 53035 wouldn't work, even though it is listed for VW/AUDI.

A shop can weld anything on to the ends of it in order for it to work.
