Header/02 sensor problem
Okay so I bought a Megan header for a 2005 civic lx sedan. The o2 sensor wires don't reach so it looks like Im going to have to splice them.
Originally a friend and I took out the sensor just to see how far it would extend and a few days later, my engine light comes on and my mechanic says the o2 sensor isn't reading properly and that I need a new one (won't pass emissions).
We didn't drop the sensor or bump it against anything so I'm not sure what could cause it to be reading improperly. Does anyone know if it may just be dirty or something and I could clean it?
Also if you could tell me where I might get a new sensor that would have a longer wire that'd be great too.
Thanks!

the wires or solder joints might be the problem. i tried extending my 99 o2 sensor and it poped up CEL light instantly. so i soldered the wires back to stock and it was fine after that.
if your extending the senor its easier to just buy a extension harness. i have a long one for sale.
or if you just need a small one just buy it from http://passwordjdm.com/PasswordJDM-O...t-P1767C0.aspx
