Default header and cat

are aftermarket headers with that cat built in okay. like what is the difference between that and it being seperate form the headers, i have a 97 lx and it has the header attached to the cat so this design is alot easier. but what is the forums opinion.

well. Vibrant header for example w/ high flow cat, your probably looking @ 1-5 hp tops with the high flow cat attached, not worth the money. Although I read somewhere its better to just get the regular header and then an aftermarket cat converter, like random tech or somit. I could be wrong though. For your year I dont know could be different.

you dont really need an aftermarket cat, it only gives you maybe 1HP depending.... so in reality its not worth the money and time you spend. thats my oponion.

i rather have the catback then just a muffler welded, it makes more sense to me though.

cheapest way would be get a header (that would remove the stock cat), then a universal cat and have it welded in the exhaust. The header/high flow cat combo is way too pricey for sure
