Default help me with my headers

i drive a 2003 honda civic dx 1.7 litre 4cylinder nonvtec however i want to put headers into my vehicle but i cannot find headers anywhere. the only ones that i could find that might fit on my car are for an ex model. its says on the website to for ex model only. the only difference between an ex and a dx is that the ex is vtec does that make a difference. if so what type of header can i put on my car and does it have to be specially made cause thats what the guy a honda seems to think. please let me know as soon as possible it would be much appreciated thank u

Stupid 7th gens.

I think it's a fitment issue, not a difference in the head. I know I have seen this question here before, do a search and see what you come up with.

Not too sure about the 03 dx but I kinow that there is more than just a vtec differenc between the 2000 EX&DX, the catalytic converter on the 2000 DX is in the manifold, so swapping it is pretty much out of the question without modding the o2 sensor location and having some other exhaust work modded. Like I said though, not sure on the 03. Hondu may have started a more intelligent approach to the exhaust on the newer ones. just my two cents

Is the Catalytic convertor part of the header, if it is then you have to get AN AFTER MARKET hi-flow cat and use the EX PARTS . If you run a race header it will eliminate the cat and connect to the cat back!!!!!!

D17SOHC speaks the truth. shopping list:

01-05 Header
01-05 Exhaust
Afermarket Hi-Flow Cat (Magnaflow...or Random Technologies if you can afford it)
O2 simulator.

My LX has two 02 sensors that connect to the stock manifold/cat and to the bottom that connects to the downpipe. I have both unplugged right now which is making my car run like crap. The header I bought didn't have anywhere to connect the sensors and I had to extend the downpipe to make it work.
