Default How hot do headers get?

I was wondering how hot headers get becacuse I have high heat paint up to 500 degrees and I wanted to paint my header on my civic. Will this paint hold up or does the header get to hot.

The header does not get too hot but the radip heating and cooling is what kills the paint, that and if it is after market(stainless) paint tends to not want to stick to good in the first place. Get a nice ceramic coated header or have your ceramic coated

That 1200 degree paint you see atautozone will actually work. I comes off because people dont let it cure like it should. Granted, it will scorch and discolor a litte even with proper application. I painted the header on my trx450r with it.
