Default How to install a cold ait intake

So i picked up a cold air intake from Ebay. there are no markings on it, and it didn't come with instructions. I was just wondering if anyone had any key tips for me. I'm sure i'll be able to figure it out. But i want to make sure i don't mess it up. If you need picture of it i can do that. It's a nice metalic red, to fit my Rally red 03 civic ex.

I won't get good compression? what do you mean?

It comes with a little tube and a small whole to connect it to on the side. I assume this is for a vacuum box, or something.

So here is the new problem. The Cold air intake i got. Looks just like a K&N Typhoon. But the typhoon is only suppose to fit Civic with a manual Trans. And It saddens me to say my car is an Auto.
Do you guys know what problems i might run into.....

But i did find great instructions on how to install them in general from the K&N website.

I think were the problem might come in is clearance. There might be something in the way on an auto that isn't there on a manual. I'll have to look tomorrow.

What sort of problem will i face with it. here in michigan in the winter when it snows, or when it rains. Should i switch back to stock or get a SRI for the winter?

actually it will matter because CAIs for that engine go down towards the tranny. so the filter moves depending on the tranny

just install the bitch and then post about problems
