Oh snap...I must be thinking of a Z6 manifold swap. In fact I'm now positive that I was referring to the Z6 2 wire IACV. It's been a long time since I messed with a D series.

And yes, after further resarch I need one from an AT car, as the AT and Y7 have the IACV on the Throttle body and the MT one from a Y8 its elsewhere.

I have another n00b question here so please gather round.

I notice on parts websites the SRI for the y8 and y7 are different part numbers. So will I need the y8 SRI if I put the y8 intake manifold on?

 

yes, b/c the y7 tb is top mount and the y8 tb is side mounted, thus the piping is different.
