Default longer exhaust hangers

Hey guys, I was wondering if you know where to get a rubber muffler hanger around 3.5" to 4". If you don't know what I mean it is the little black doughnut holding the muffler to the hanger on the car. Mine are too short and they cause the dang muffler to hit the bumper, which makes it loud as hell in the car, not mentioning the rattles on the bumper at idle. Any kind of advice would be great. I called Napa in my area and they said 3" is as long as it gets, but I don't believe them. Thanks again

Funny you ask that my dad owns a muffler shop.
I can get you one if you don't need it right away.

They have all different sizes for general purpose use at AutoZone for like 99 cents. Don't say you need "Civic" hangers. Just get the generic ones.

I had issues there when I was trying to find something long enough to get my tip off my back bumper, they dont have much of a selection, not here anyway. So I walked across the street to a Tuffy, and for 5 bucks I had two universal hangers with 5 (maybe 6) holes in them so that I could get the exhaust to hang exactly where I needed it. That is the route I suggest you take.

Hey usmc2b2004, that would be cool. I just took didn't hang them on the cars mount and tie strapped them for now...much better but I don't trust it. I would appreciate that if you could do it but they have to look like the stock ones to work, not those universal ones, cuz then I would need about 9 or 10 inches long to go from the exhaust pipe to the hanger, and that would look tacky to me, although nobody is going to be under my car looking, but you know, I want it to look clean. Thanks again.

I have the same car as you (basically), at what point in the exhaust are you looking to put this hanger? At the very rear???

well, yea, they are the hangers for the muffler, not the one that is right above the lower control arm. I have them tie wrapped, like I said, and it works for now, but I just don't trust it. Anyway, if you have any suggestions hit me up.
