How much should i expect to pay if i want an EX exhaust? like for the header, hi flow cat, and exhaust? also, if i chose to only get a axleback or just a muffler, will my car sound like ****?

 

it all depends on what kind of parts you go with. header 100$-350$ full exhaust 250$-700$ hi flow cat 50$-150$ some axle backs sound pretty good, like the apexi n1. it all depends on what you go with.

 

how would my car sound with just an aftermarket muffler?

 

everytime i hear cars with just the muffler they all seem to have the same annoying ricey sound. i think that a nice cat back and intake are what make the car sound really go. but thats just my opinion.

 

I have an 04 lx with the same question.. so far I got the CAI, NO HEADER/CAT, but i have a 2.5 catback exhaust that sounds awesome! Waay low growl but it just is annoying in the car for long drives. Outside the car is really nice and no one complains. I have dynamatted the whole car but still doesnt stop it all.. I wish I would have done 2.25 but the kit costed me $350 installed. Procivic has a 90 universal hi flow and the muffler shop told me that if I find the header for the EX they'd put it all together and match the pipes for 100 bucks. I am dying to have a new header and cat... I just like looking under the hood and seeing how pretty it all is... even though it wont do much performance wise.

 

Dont only do a muffler, you'll really hate it! I promise you it isnt worth the 50 bucks... do the whole thing at once and you'll be happy... look to spend about 600-700 though.
