wow...this thing just dosnt quit sucking...the meineke guy had to heat the headers up just to get it off, he broke 2 socket renches trying to get it off. so i got the sensor back and the threads are almost no more, theres maybe just enough to get it in snug but im gena use this stuff called Loctite to make sure it stays. hopefully it'll work and hopefully i wont have to do much other than that. im gena do this tomorrow so ill post again when im done to let u guys kno how it turned out...wish me luck

Dude if you use Loctite you will NEVER get that 02 sensor out if you want to replace it, or if it needs to be replaced, I highly advise AGAINST this.

Locktite will most likely burn off due to the heat. Thats how you normally make loctite go away...heat it. If you want it back out eventually use a product called never-seize. Great for high heat/rusty/incompatible materials. I was gonna suggest a torch to heat the surrounding metal. LOL

i just cant get a break...i put o2 sensor in today and for some reason the CEL keeps coming on, i've been working on the wiring and nothings been working...also, i went out to drive it and for some reason, and it idols at like 0 rpms and just driving it like a mile it stalled twice. it also felt less powerfull then before...im probably just gena take into the dealership or meineke and just have it done there, im so sick of it now. and ya dj_ipirate ur right, if ur planing on buying headers, make sure u can get the stock ones off and everything first so u dont end up like me, especially if ur car is old and pretty rusty..

i herd that o2 sensors are kinda fragile. maybe the guy at the shop fried it when he got it off.

^^ That is a very good possibility, you could drop the 60 bucks on a bosch at pepboys, worked for me, of course I had to put a hi-flo cat in before the CEL would go off.
