wow that looks like a great mod to do...but in the picture of the swap that guy did the engine was D17A2(v-tec).
Will the intake manifold/fuel upgrade work the same for D17A1 engine???
I don't see a big problem with it, there is some slight modification that needs to be done to the manifold to get it to fit but it should fit fine.

DO NOT BUY THE S2 mani, I seriously CANNOT STRESS that enough. If you do buy the S2 mani, be prepared for 8 months of troubleshooting. Go with the stock Y8 mani, polish it and throw a S2 TB on there. Also before doing this CAREFULLY read through the DIY I did.

I replaced all my fuel lines, pump, rail, injectors, FPR, filter, etc, total cost ~500-700.

oh yeah DO NOT BUY THE S2 MANI. I still am not driving my civic bc of idle issues due to this. Car runs fantastic, but got some vac leak somewhere.

Yes installed myself. If you read through the DIY you have to cut a piece outta the firewall, cut the IM studs and rethread them, it's basically a lot more work, as for the vac leak, yeah but I've had to have a custom piece made for the D17 IACV, bc there is no room for an IACV that made to fit on the manifold. It's really up to you, but be prepared for troubleshooting and the car to be down for more than a weekend.
