Question Need help with my AEM SRI..

Soo recently i purchased an AEM short ram intake for my 2000 Honda Civic Ex
and i was wondering why my intake doesn't sound as loud as it did the day i got it installed?? Like when im driving i've noticed it doesn't make that same roaring sound it did the first day now it just kinda sounds like the car did when i didnt even have an aftermarket intake
i dunno if its just me or in my head but i was wondering if anyone else has experienced that or if its normal or i dunno??

Your ECU takes a while to react to the new amounts of air, so that could have made it seem louder if the engine wasn't getting the right fuel/air mixture.

I dunno about that.... he could test your theory though by pulling the ECU fuse and leaving it off for a few min to reset the ECU.

How long ago did you install the intake? Is the filter dirty/clogged? Any leaks or holes in the couplers or in the pipe by chance?

Honestly, if it sounds slightly more quiet a few days after you installed it, I am sure there is nothing wrong and you are getting used to the noise.

Not sure anything could go wrong with it. Its just a pipe and a filter.

Also remember that VTEC wont engage on cold engines. Could throw off the OP if he's only driving short trips.
