That seal looks like it's been shot - I'd get a new one or use the one that came with the cat-back. The springs serve a purpose - they allow for differential expansion and contraction of the pipes and flanges. Did the new exhaust come with instructions? See my sig for a link to my DIYs. You'll see how I installed my Magnaflows.
No instructions, no extras. Its a JDM axle back off ebay. it has realy great deep soud!! Ill go to the hardware store and get longer bolts so i can use the springs. Im not going to get a new gasket because there id no leak.

well i got mine bolted solid on my 99 for over a year now. no problems...

and my friends 94civic we had to solid bolt it as well because it kept blowing out the exaust from it flexing.... he went thru a couple and ever since we bolted it solid no problems from that gasket blowing out.....
i even did my 94 civic same way.

it works...... no problems for me yet.........
so it moves the rest of my exaust alittle bit. it does have rubber hangers right

but if my pipes ever do have a problem cracking or what not. no big deal n othing a welder and a new flexjoint cannt fix. i still have my new flexjoint i bought for the 94. i didnt use it because after awhile my resonant vibration at 2K rpms went away.

So i went to napa for some ps fluid, and i was going to also get a new donut gasket. They didnt have what i had for a donut, the guy showed me two rings, but they were not what i needed. he told me to bring it in and will match somthing. I think its beacuse its an after market mid pipe.so i went home and looked under to see if im still driping water, and i wasint. So i herd that it will drip some times becuase its cold motor, and the way the spring syetem is? is it normal to get some water driping when the car is warming up?

thisis the setup i have now and its working so far:

The bolt a broke i replased it with a longer one, and im still using the spring, butthe springis smouch down good so i know that i have it on good and i think i left some room for it to flex.

The other bolt is the stock, i have it on with the spring, but i have the bolt as tight as it will go on, and there is play in the spring, this will explain why i have a rattle some times when im lowering my rpm's.

I have know air leak, and i think my lil water leak is normal?

When i put it on with out the springs, one of the muffler hanger woul la on that big metal bar on the frame, and make a rattle sound.

well the donute they are looking at is probably for the upper part of the header..... that donute is the same as OEM. the small steel ring is for the middle header where they bolt together. ive heard its a common mistake from the parts store. you can always go OEM and they know exactly.....

yours probably leaks alittle because its worn out alittle. you could keep it like you have it now but replace the other stock bolt with a regular bolt and reuse the spring. see the stock bolt is made to be tight but not able to overtighten... because it bottoms out! that keeps it from geting over tightened but if your gasket is old they cannt tighten up anymore. reason why yours is leaking alittle.

enigma34 you seem quite...frantic...lol don't worry man. i had my header on my old honda hooked up the same was as addiction2bass for a whole year and it was perfect. remember your working with a honda man...no worries. anyways, your best bet in that situation better for the long run and everything else, just buy everything new, bolts, washers, nuts, the gasket should be replaced too. and! ebay...be careful they jip
