I think my cat is bad as well, and have been sitting on getting a new on cause I don't know if it's worth going hi-flow or just getting a regular one.

Luckily for my EX they make a direct fit hi-flow and it just went down in price for $121.40. I'm thinking this deal isn't too bad cause oem from honda would prolly be just as much if not more.

What do you guys think?

update: tonight my friend and i went to a parking lot and put the car up on the car ramps. as i layed under the car with earplugs in my ears because it was hella loud. what ended up happening was the cat blew the honeycomb stuff into the stock resonater. so we hit the pipes with a hammer and the car finally blew rock sized chunks of the catalytic convertor out. my next problem is the fact that my number 2 cylinder is misfireing and my valves need to be adjusted

do i need to buy a new catalytic convertor gasket? and does anyone have any tips to get those stupid spring bolts back on because i think those are going to be a bit hard to do. i know to use a ton of penetrating oil stuff to get them off. but it took my and my friend 30 minutes 4 hands and a vice grip to get just one of those things back on his car.

sorry to revive an older thread but i did a compression test and all the cylinders were around 145 PSI. so it probably isnt a valve problem. the number 2 or 3 spark plug electrode looked kind of brownish so i assume it is burning a little bit of oil. would my pistion rings be going out or could it be some other gasket? also do the cylinders go from left to right on the d16a6 engine go 1234 or 4321?
