preventing hydro lock???

Go get a bypass valve. If you get a AEM CAI it comes with one. If not then there bout 40 bucks at any local store. That will disperse any water out of your CAI before it gets into your IM.

aem cai don't come with a bpv. you buy that separately. anyways, if your going to get a bpv, might as well take off the intake, as you choke off any possible gains.

I'll sell you my bypass valve... I didnt even use it in the winter and I'm hooked on SRIs PM me and I'll send it to ya for cheap.

Lol i just thouht about this what u do is CUT ur cold air intake in half than get one of those rubber connecter and connect it back together. this way if it rain u can just take the 2nd half off leaving the 1st half and put the filter on it and BAM u now have an short ram intake. than when it not raining u attach the 2 back together and BAM u now have ur cold air intake.

tons of people do this...and the reason there's so much hype is that while it doesn't happen often, when it does it's a pretty big deal.

i actually wouldn't care that much if my engine was to hydrolock. d17s are so cheap now... $200-500... also, i'd have a good reason to get a K
