I just bought the megan stainless steel header about 4 months ago and i see what appears to be little spec of rust on them.....is this normal for a aftermarket header?
(Stainless steel will start to rust after a while) but how can i fix it.....i have searched throughout the firum....any suggestions?

[:@]like i stated in an earlier post, i have the same thing...hope this is not in store for me. As far as the rust goes, not to sure...perhaps if your not worried about cosmetic appearance, some exhaust wrap?

I put a set of stainless steel headers on my truck. They did get a little surface rust. When I called the company to find out what was going on they said a little surface rust can be expected but they also said because its stainless it will not rust through. And a good wire brush gets rust off of metal.

yeah... all headers will eventually get some surface rust... its perfectly normal.all you have to do is lightly sand it off and you're fine. If you do decide to wrap your header, make sure you seal them, too (exhaust wrap seal.. it should be right next to the exhaust wrap in auto stores).

Like reaper said you should definitely seal them. If the header wrap gets wet the moisture soakes in and may rust the header worse(saw it happen) or even more rarely the moisture can be so much colder than the outside air that the header may crack on start ups(heard it, don't know if its true).
