rusted bolts

im installing an apexi n1 on my 00 si and the bolts connecting the stock exhuast to the cat are rusted as hell any help would be appreciated

are they the spring bolts? if so get them off and go to autozone and buy some out of the help section. they won't be an exact fit but chrysler ones work fine.

PB Blaster blows WD-40 out of the water. You can get a can at any auto parts store or wal-mart. Definately get a can and check it out.

dremel.....just go buy the right size bolt and spring or w/e and cut those bastards off. thats what i did and it didnt take to long.

I just installed a tsudo n1 style catback on my 99 si, and it sounds great. Your catback set didnt come with screws? Mine came with everthing (including a bent rod to hold it up)
P.S. I gave up trying to install it myself and took it to the mechanic. They charged me 60 for everything.

I paid a muffler shop $20 under the table to cut the exhaust off the cat and temporarily bolt it back together, just so I could get it home and install it myself

I wanted to do that too because as soon as i saw that the screws were on the inside part of the catalytic converter, behind the shield i thought "no way". But they had the car up in the air and everything so i said might as well install it all.
