It is an aftermarket brand that makes Intakes for cars.

brand name intake companies spend money to help get the most power out of there product. non name brand (aka ebay) intakes are just bend tubes with a ghetto filter.

And the ebay intake doens't always fit well, the AEM will.

I always thought of doing that. Getting a tube and fitting it and then putting an aftermarket filter on. Is that what you did? And how did that turn out btw?
