Default silencer I got

I got this silencer on ebay pretty cheap but I've got some issues with it. I've got a magnaflow cat back exhaust and one side of the tip is dented in slightly making it really hard for me getting it in and out. Also I'm worried about the pressure thats going to be built up behind it because there's no relief holes around the tube.

Is there a lubricant I could put on the rim of it so I can slide it in and out easier? Also should I drill some holes at the end of it so it can breath better? Or is there a way I can get the dent out of my magnaflow exhaust without making it worse.

I'm not sure about putting a grease or something to get it to slide in and out... is your car turboed or anything that needs low backpressure?

no it just has an after market exhaust and intake. A lot of silencers I've seen have a bunch of holes at the end around the tube, that are more expensive so I'm guessing thats better. I'm more concerned about jamming it in there and not being able to get it out.

well then u dont have 2 worry about it building up 2 much backpressure, so I wouldn't worry about drilling more holes... also, if you drill holes, you'll be defeating the purpose of the silencer.. the ones that have a bunch of holes were probably engineered so that they still do their job with the holes

the bottom line: I wouldn't drill the holes

Maybe try to get the dent out of your exhaust tip to get the silencer in easier? I dunno lol
