i don't mean to say that simotas are poor, not at all, i'm just saying that there's no need for one to claim it's the best thing to ever hit the aftermarket scene

From a marketing standpoint I have to disagree... they will usually compare their intakes with others in a super specific field... get specific enough and you will eventually be the #1 at something! No one can advertise their product as #2... that doesnt sell...

i have an INJEN, but simotas are quality products. they're filters are pretty nice too.

i was considering getting a simota before the injen fell into my lap for $75.

you have to put it all in perspective though. aftermarket SRI intakes might give you 1-2 wheel horsepower, on average, so its not going to make your car a rocketship.

what it can do is give you better throttle response in the mid to upper RPM range. that's enough of a selling point for me.

btw, ebay intake filters are crap. lol.

Elaborate I Will First off when we talk price it depends which country we are buying in and what the market demands are in that country. No offence to brand names such as AEM or K&N they are fantastic products and they should be for the price you pay. I'm just saying for the price and quality its tough to match and if you have been to the Simota website and have read the 7 page catalogue which explains the product well, you can download in PDF format at...... http://www.simota.com/video.php Along with the other information I have received from the factory which just so happens to be 10mins behind my place, I was very impressed with what Simota brought to the table. Also was surprised to find out that the big names you know and love are made at the same factories, and by that I mean a lot of “Big Brands” you know about through marketing there is an exact copy of that under another name and sold cheaper. People the technology is here and it’s not very hard to offer the same product under a different name. Thanks for your time guys.

didnt you already say this exactly in the other forum?
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_33..._2/key_/tm.htm

and i agree with my04civic V2 for the kill....and besides, even if simota did get huge im sure so would there prices, theres just not enough people right now that have them to be able to tell if its worth the buy while they are low....I mean its only an intake, how much better could it get than the V2 or an injen....maybe years from now
