Suggested Exhaust?
an ebay SRI would work just fine, as long as you use a decent filter?
I have always heard go with a name..
"They're made specifically designed with this, this, and that in mind. Every corner, every bend is made with a precise reason. Ebay SRI's are just hunks of metal that won't even fit without alterations"
you get the gist. How much would you say, on average, to spend on an Ebay sri?
And since you guys are suggesting replacing headers and throwing in an SRI, shouldn't he think about replacing his intake manifold as well? or is that part of the header, I forget

some places though, like California, require the whole thing to be a name brand with CARB approval and/or smog approval.
For the intake manifold, it all depends on what route he's going. If he wants to turbo, i'd skip the header, intake and intake manifold (which besides the intake manifold would be replaced and save for turbo parts instead). If he's going N/A or has extra money available, then yea an intake manifold would be a good idea.
So you're saying if you're just doing a new intake, not turbo/super, then it'd be wise to replace the manifold?
And generally if you're gonna replace the exhaust, a catback will come with a new header (even though header's before the cat), or you would probably buy a new header while replacing the rest of the exhaust anyway
You tried to clear it up, but I think I'm misreading it or something. Obviously Kurtzmann has a better grip on this than I do =p

If you're doing an N/A setup you should definitely eventually get a better intake manifold.
If you're turboing, then a new intake manifold isn't really a priority because your focus should be on the turbo setup. However, if you're trying to make as much power as possible or you have enough money to buy one and you want to buy one, then you should.
Superchargers don't apply to any of this reasoning because the supercharger is an intake manifold, with a compressor in it.

Really? would they find out if you dont have one on an emissions test, cause when i watched them do the smog test, I dont remeber them opening the hood, although it was about 6 months ago, so I could be completely wrong.
I'm not exactly sure. I just know that they have to be CARB exempt or CARB approved.
I think ill stick with magna flow.Im not really up for spending a lot of money on my car only because i cant afford to lol.Just to keep it sounding clean and looking nice. But i do want to put a good set of headers and complete new exhaust on it and then everything will pretty much be perfect for me.
