Default V2 AEM intake

IS IT WORTH THE MONEY TO BUY THE V2 AEM INTAKE? OR JUST SHOULD I JUST GET THE AEM COLD AIR?

The difference between the V2 and the cold air as far as price is only about 50 bucks. The V2 intake might give you a little more power(like less than 1hp) but its all about if you have the money to spend. An air intake is not really going to give you too much hp unless you get an exhaust system.

I **** off a whole lot of people when I say this but the V2 is for all purpose and intent basically engine compartment jewelry. I mean sure, you get that big 4-5krpm raise the so called "AEM hump" but guess what. When I upshift, my car doesn't drop back down below 5k where I could use that.

So basically $275+ dollars for car jewelry. If it made 2hp more than the competition (it doesn't) that would be $137.50 per horsepower. If a 50 shot Nitrous system had that kind of price tag it would cost $6875.00.

So if your car is being featured in Honda Tuning Magazine, SCC, SS...whatever...you'll get the respect points for the V2 but on the track it's really not substantially better.
