V2 Intake vs. V2 CAI

RE: V2 Intake vs. V2 CAI
I might be wrong and by all means someone please correct me if i am. an intake is a CAI if it is away from the engine bay and able to catch the cold air from the outside... There are V2 Intakes that run just like a regular CAI down to the fender, i think those would still be considered V2 CAI (i.e. anyone who has a 96-00 civic). but i think there are some V2s that are short ram intake (i might be wrong, but i saw it on my co-workers '03 Si.... anyone with the same car that has a V2 help me out with that one...).
Like i said, feel free to correct me if im wrong.....

I dont think they make a bypass valve for V2 intakes, only for regular CAI. but i think that the V2 for your car goes down by the wheel also... and you'll get more power out of the V2 than the SRI or CAI... if you have the extra cash to go for the V2 then go for it! take a look at mine.

dont quote me on this, i may be wrong. but the V2 is CIA intake style on all generations expt 7th gen, which is SRI style.

RE: V2 Intake vs. V2 CAI
Turambar the 7th gen V2 intakes are SRI's for an EX. On an EX they will sit right behind the battery. The LX may very well be a CAI, do you have a sidemount TB or topmount? If sidemount I believe it would be a CAI, not 100% sure. you could try and check on 7thgencivic to see if anyone has a picture of one installed.
