well, i was taking my SRI off today and installing my stock intake (only for a limited time) and before i was done, it came to mind..what is the stock air box for?? I dont get whats its for, theres no holes in it or anything,its all sealed. Theres 3 holes on the intake tube..one thats open in the bay, and the other 2 go into the air box..i was thinking about not installing the air box if i dont have to

 

just wondering why you're taking off your sri?

im taking it off for a couple days because my filter it f*** really bad (not dirt,the rubber is broken) ,so i didnt want anything to happen before im able to get out and get a new one

 

ya its a resonator..when i had my stock intake i took that whole box off and it made a nice lil growl but not much haha

 

it keeps it quite but it can also act as a water pit

if you want to be white trash just instead of putting it stock back on just replace the sri filter with a sock. I saw it done at a car show and everyone laughed at him but he said it worked fine.
