I keep seeing people saying a cold air intake will cause a lag on response when throttling. Why would this happen? The throttle body is in the same spot. There is air in front of it whether or not the pipe is 2 inches or 20 feet long? Can someone please clarify this?

yea this info you have been supplied with is false. no lag. maybe those peoples' throttle cables were not properly adjusted or something. there is always air in the intake charge pipe... it's not a black hole... lol

 

Thanks you. Because lag made no sense to me. I have an engineering degree. And nothing they said made any sense. I'm glad I'm not wrong

 

Haha yeah..

I was going to say... All an Intake, Header, and Exhaust does is emit more flowing air, and help your engine breathe better.

More flow/air = more power.
