I recently bought a 98 EX that hasthe 2000 SI front fenders, hood, bumper, and grill. Is it different than the original 98 ex front? The grill is different but everything looks the same to me? Is it the same?

Yes they are different. Look on www.carpoint.com and see the difference between a 96-98 to a 99-00. If someone did the conversion they would have converted the headlights/fenders/hood/bumper. If all that was done to SI, then you are good.

that looks great! yeah its not neccessarly just si, its all 99-00 models. it has little changes that makes it look sportier and better in my opinion. did they also swap out the taillights to the 99-00 model? you can tell if the taillights are just red and white. if they are red yellow and white then they are the 96-98 model. if they switched the taillights noone will be able to tell its the older model.

 

i'm not possitive but i'm pretty sure the 96-98 back bumper is a little different too and yours looks like it's the 99-00... are you sure it's not just a 99 with an si grille? just curious

 

Ya they swapped the taillights too. The title says its a 98 ex.

 

The rims kinda look like si rims also. Someone went through a lot to make it look like an si ( or at least a newer model civic)
