get 3M protective vinyl tape for your front bumper.
they're precut to fit the shape of your exactly and look nearly invisible.
i was going to get some for my 06 civic coupe but i got rid of it after my teg.
also, make sure you use a high quality carnuba wax on your front bumper to at least give your OEM paint job a chance to deflect some of the chips.
