cleaning inside of headlights??

Default cleaning inside of headlights??

hey guys, my headlights are starting to fog up from the inside and its startin to look pretty bad, so can you take apart the housin so you clean the inside of the headlight? I have a 2000 hatch

you can bake them and remove the clear lenses, then you can polish the inside and outside of the lenses to a new finish

yes, but there is a certain temperature to set it to in order to properly break the seal without killing the plastic on the headlight, i'll look it up again and let you know, i can't remember it off hand.

ok, i checked and i believe you can bake them for 8-9 minutes at 200 deg, then pry them with a screw driver, then get sealant and reseal them to the best of your ability.

just clear silicone works...
dont worry about chiping them to much.... the seals not just gonna pop apart... it takes alittle man handling... so dont freak out if ya take some small chunks outta it

It works... I set it to 175 and only for 6 minutes at a time for my headlights, though...
