its also know as steering wheel hub or quick release hub

also its not recomended for u to remove a steering wheel with an airbag!!! just think about it before u actully do it.

 

I think it might be illegal to take off an airbag from a car equiped with one.

 

i live in brevard county fl and i have a civic with an nrg hub and nardi wheel, and no questions by any authorty

well before ya think anymore go talk to a cop in your area and ask if its illegal to remove the airbag.... cause like said its illegal in some states....
but with MOST detachable wheels... you get a quick release hub and you weld the quick release tab to the steering shaft...

 

removing a steering wheel with an airbag in a car that has them as a safety device is illega in most states. at least it supposed to be but they can't pull you over for that they have to make up something else to pull you over like your tail light is out.
