Default diy window tint

So, after reading a few posts on here about how stupid it is to try to tint your own windows I thought what millions of stubborn males think all of the time, "well, its too bad it didn't work for them, but I can make it work... I'm just that good..how difficult could it be?"

i have a 05 si hatchback and primarily want the tint on the back window....after wrestling with it for about an hour.....thankfully only attempted the back window.... such a pain in the butt....eventually a complete and utter failure on the tint attempt... luckily i'm only out about $20...

if its a flat window, like the back window of an F150, no problem... if its a strongly curved window like on my car... such a pain..

so, now someone can read this post and think, "it can't be that hard... I'll make it work".. then they'll do their own windows and post something similar to this one... the cycle repeats

Yep, my '95 F150 was a piece of cake, but I'm not going to attempt it on my '97 civic. I'm having it done by a pro next week.

i can only imagine how utterly frustrating that would be to do it yourself .i would probably end up putting my fist threw the window. i mean a good quality job can be done under 150 bucks.

ya window tinting is easy on flat windows but curved windows you dont have the skill. its best to just pay a tint shop to do it with a warranty that way if it has bubbles pop up you just make them redo it... i had the tint redone on my civic twice since it had a few bubbles.
i paid about 200bucks for mine and it was well worth it.

yea. here in socal i went to a shop that has been around for 20 years. It was 159 with tax any shade you want. I went 5 on the back and 45 on the front. real clean install and lifetime warranty.

I did the strip on my windshield like that, it took hours of sweaty rage cramped in the front on a hot rainy day. After all the work, 2 months later there were 2 bubbles that look messed up now, totally not worth the effort
