Alright....I'm buying a body kit for my civic, and I was talking to a paint places around here and they're all talking about how hard it is to get the same shade of red on the body kit as the car because red fades more than most colors......so I was thinking, Red car, black body kit, black vinyl. I thought it would look pretty cool, and not many people would have a car like it. So what do you guys think? Chances are you all could say it would look like junk and I'd still do it, but just give me some input. I know this is a thing of personal preference but try to have some imagination guys!

 

You're right, it will look like junk and that is exactly why you should do it! Seriously, if you do it right, I don't think it will look that bad...its just gonna be difficult to do a good vinyl on that much of the car. You could always go two-tone with the paint scheme though...black at the bottom, red at the top, split by some pinstriping.

 

I hate body kits that don't match the car. period.

 

no..not a good idea, unless you buy a CF kit....or you do the bottom have of your car black and the top red, that would look hawt...but different part stores car flash your paint on your car, were they take a picture with a special gun and it gets the correct shade of your color, then they mix a paint for you and it matchs, call around and see if anyone does this if you go with the painted kit

 

its an interesting idea but will make you look cheap and/or lazy in my opinion.
people wont assume you want it that way even if you do they'll asume youre too poor, too lazy, or too dumb to have it done right.

but of course, its up to you.

lip kit. cheap, easy to install and paint, looks best imo.

lol na, i just really like lip kits. gives that aftermarket look but still keeps it real clean..atleast a good kit imo. im planning on just getting a oem front lip. personally i dont care all that much for exterior, i love the way civics look stock so yeah, but if i were to do any exterior mods it'd be a nice subtle lip kit.
