Default doing my cluster LED instal ;) 99civic EX

EDIT... i tried to DIY but i guess i talk to much or no moderator cares..
heres the link.
https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_340646/tm.htm

well guess here it goes.....
not sure if its DIY material or not...
BUT this is my cluster led swap.............

AND DEFINATLY NOT FOR THE SIMPLE BULB SWAP

i bought a used gauge cluster off ebay decently cheap.... took it apart and started cutting

costs ruffly 30bucks for the led strips, 25bucks for the used cluster, and 40bucks for the dremel.
ruffly 1 hour work cuting it apart and test fiting and positioning....
LED strips can be found at http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips
he also says that he is in the process of geting some realy large led strips... from what i heard..... 6ft strip for i think he said 60bucks. which when those come out i will definatly pull my cold cathode underbody lights and put on some of those led strips!!!!!!!! that are REALY SWEET!!!! realy flexable... and look to be undestructable!

right now i just use one led strip for each part to do all my testing with....
and yes i did screw with the milage and the needle off the speedo... and since ive messed with the cluster instruments so much im not gonna use them.......
when i pull my stock cluster i will simply remove the screws holding the instruments to the plastic clusters shell and swap the tach, MPH, and gas/temp units.

well enough typing... i know you wanna see pics

AND if you realy wanna check out the cluster closer check out the LARGE pictures by follwing this link...
http://s40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...20%20pictures/

should be very sweet when i get it all put in and hooked up....

also still deciding if i want to swap the panel outer light tho..... i might have to hook it all up and check it out before i think about swapen them with some leds..
reason for that is since leds are so directional i dont want any hot spots.

i also just plan on using the HOT GLUE GUN to hold the led strips in thier solid....
tho the tach lights are very tight due to the large circuit board behind it

BUT anyways what ya think so far?

check out these led strips

CHECK OUT THIS VIDEO i made realy bright!

ok well got a few more pics....
had to make afew more small trims and slightly change the routing ever so slightly....

BUT this is how it SHOULD LOOK when i get it instaled.. but with needles and all screws in.LMFAO

and just so some people that might not know what it looks like

first picture is just regular picture like i took with the other blue leds in.... which just shows how DULL and DIMM they are!!

tho its just ALITTLE loose.... so when i fully snap on the trim panel it should look alot beter! and i believe ill just keep those upper dash lights white bulbs.... just to lite up the needles alittle bit.

and since ill be soldering the wires onto the board they SHOULD dim along with the dimmer switch........
at least IT SHOULD!!!!!!! LOL hopefully it should!

EDIT...... and i will be doing all the other instruments also.... just over time.....
i got enough standard leds 5MM and 3MM leds just incase they are realy small leds i come across
the 3MMs i have prewired and the 5MMs illl have to solder i got 30leds to use so HOPEFULLY that will be enough!!!!!!
