Default E-Brake handle removal

Ok, I was going to replace my e-brake handle with a billet one, but I was trying to pry it off and it was being very difficult. Does anyone have any advice on the best way to take it off? should I just cut the plastic handle off, or is there an easier way?

Yeah just take a hacksaw or sawzall and just cut down the length of it and pry it off. It is pretty much molded to the metal frame.
