Eyelids that drop down to top of grill (for 1996)?
Hey yall,
Was wondering where I can get an eyelid kit for a 1996 Civic HX that drops down further than the ones I've seen on ebay. One that drops down to near where the top of the grill is and stays around that level (the ones on ebay, at least that I have seen, don't drop that low all the way across).
I have a black car, so I'm hoping these eyelids will actually look good and get rid of that nasty taste I get in my mouth when I look at my Civic head-on - it looks like a freakin happy bug with those huge lights, too bad there is not a 5th gen front-conversion for these models...
This is an idea of what I'm looking for:

well if you cannt find some eye lids... make your own
with the headlights on the car.. tape off the area you want to keep clear.... then pull em off the car and either get some color matched paint.... lightly scuff the headlight and clean em realy good then just paint em
or preaty much same technic and then use some tint
that way during the day it will be dark like paint and during the night alittle light should shine thru.... some VHT nightshades is the best tint stuff!
just an idea.... thats how i plan on doing my next set of headlights with some color matching paint....

Thanks - good idea, I thought about doing that too, but I kinda wanted to see what it looked like before I went ahead and tried it. Anybody have pics of their homemade eyelids on an EK?
Of course, once you paint those headlights that is pretty much permanent, given that you've scuffed them.
And the tint is a good idea, but do you think it would be clean? I want it to flow (short of welding something on) pretty flawlessy, I have a black ABS plastic grill and it matches perfectly w/ the black car...hoping the eyelids would do the same.
thanks
