step on the rotor with your foot and push down
then get someone to pull fork out

yea we did that. and used a crowbar through the damper fork on the spring in attempt to raise it. almost worked but still to much tension pushing down..

Is the shock tower nuts still on?

OK I know what you can do.

Jack the shock back up and put the shock piston nut back on. Then lower the jack and remove the shock fork. Then remove your shock assembly.



Are you saying that while pushing down on the top of the rotor with your foot you still didn't have enough room to separate the shock and shock fork?

yea you unbolted the shock nut on top
use a jack and jack it back up put the nut back on some and lower jack and then pull fork out.

and you too 94 thank you very much. so did I do anything wrong or is this just how the shocks/springs are?

was i never supposed to unbolt the other 2 nuts?? I unbolted all 3 was that potentially the issue?

Yea you were only suppose to unbolt the piston nut, not the top hat nuts.
