gauge lights
well, im new here and after looking arround, i see alot of great ideas. onthing with me is i dont like to spend money and like to do stuff myself, and so here lies my idea.
i dont like the stock gauges, or more specificly the gauge backlighting, now i know getting some indaglo (sp?) ones would look nice, but what i think i will try is replace the regular lightbulbs with these blue leds that i have. i was looking arround if anyone has done it, but havent seen anything. i have taken off the gauges on my car and see it is pretty easy to pull out the brown bulb holders for the backlights, and i will make some led/resistor combos and probably solder em in.
so my questions to u guys and girls is have u seen it done, and if not, should i make a tuitorial out of it? if u have seen it, could u post some links or tell me what they did?

What year is your civic? Alot of guys and girls here have done it... I got my LED climate control kit (blue) from LEDautomotive.com and I am just taking my time to install them.. for the dash ask like Chimera he has a killer dash on his 7th gen civic.

RE: gauge lights
Ok finnaly got some pics of the set up, since i posted last, i have also put leds in the temperature control, and dome light, i love the dome light, makes it look black light-ish. its not perfect, like the defroster icon on the temp control doesnt show up, but no biggie, one thing i have to do to the gauge lights is cut off the lenses on the leds to provide a more diffuse light, but all in time
oh yah, not really related to this, but my friend was looking at my car, and he said that looks like a silencer on my muffler, and sure enough, it was, we took it out and now it sounds great
