how to take a door panel off?
I know I have been asking alot of questions on this forum recently, but the more I think about my car, the more I realize I want to do with it.
This weekends project is going to be taking off my rear driver side door panel, and seeing if I can determine why the power lock on that side doesn't work. I can hear the motor go off, and the lock itself works fine manually, so I am assuming there is a bell crank or something in there that has just let go.
the point of this post is though, that I couldn't find any screws to remove, so is the interior panel held on by clips? if so, is there anything in specific I should know before I try to pull it off?
I have a 2000 Honda Civic EX Sedan, if that matters at all.
Thanks again folks!

yes, were the door handle is, look behind that and there should be a screw, take that out, and were you put your hand to close and open the door, the little plastic pocket, theres a screw in that also, take that out, then were your handle is to roll down the window, you have to pop that off, there is a C clip holding it to the door, you need to try and look behind the handle and pop the C clip out with a flat head screw driver, if its power windows, then you just need to take the screws on of the plastic shroud...they should be the only 2 on the door, im not 100% sure on the rear door, but if its the same as the fronts, them thos are the 2 screws, then the rest of the door is held on by plastic clips...start from the bottom and pull, you will here the plastic clips poping out..if theres one part thats really not coming out, take a look around for any screws, but sometimes the clips are just a pane to get out.
well he said rear door...
but with the actuators... SOMETIMES... alls it takes is some good lubricating oil on the rods slides, hinged points and even alittle on the motor..... and even on the door latches and regular door handle......
ive had it happen PLEANTY OF TIMES... they just get alittle dirty and dry which makes it hard to slide which would make it seem as they werent working anymore and bad....
just lube em up alittle... and if it doesnt work... well it was worth a shot!
on my old 66impala i gotta lube the joints and slides for the power locks to work right.... preaty minor tho.
